Who Knew Hitler Had Tariffs, Too? – HotAir

I spent a few moments this morning feeling a little burst of renewed optimism that things were going to be okay.

That, economically, we were settling down and strong enough to ride this tariff and trade roller coaster out.

I mean, the jobs report came in pretty darn encouraging – a bigger gain than expected, but when you dug into the numbers, those had real signs of progress already.

There were a few gems in the GDP report from the other day, too.

China’s blinking left and right on several things, and the EU is quietly folding on item after item, desperate for a deal.

Yeah, I was feeling pretty good until The Atlantic decided it wanted to make us all feel pretty bad.

These ‘history lessons’ no one asked for are getting a little out of hand with progressives, don’t you think?

I mean, did they assign this guy the story, like, ‘Hey, Jimmy Olsen! Go Google and see if Adolf ever used tariffs! Gimme 1500 words how bad it was if he did.’

Or did he come with this fever dream crap all on his own and they told him to run with it and were already on the phone to the art department for a dreay illustration.?

EVERYONE I DON’T LIKE IS HITLER

As you can imagine, people are having a grand time mocking these pathetic, mewling Gollums as they grasp their Precious TDS to their sunken, hairless chests and snarl if someone reaches toward them.

HITLER NAZI HITLER HITLER

What’s the point?

The constant drumming of the message into the soulless goons hovering around the fringes of the rallies, slobbering over AOC’s booty in her jeans, fantasizing what a hero they are as they key a Cybertruck, lob a Molotov cocktail, hunt down and beat up Jews, or watch for a money shot at any Trump official, maybe even the Bad Orange Hitler himself.

Because he IS Hitler – same-same they’ve been assured by the best people, time and again.

That’s the point.

Feeding the madness is so the point that The Atlantic itself doesn’t remember that they were once against it. The futility of it.

The revolting disrespect to the millions of people murdered by that monster, and who were killed because of him, and the inexcusable dilution of evil into an infantile toss-off epithet.

Ah, the progressive elites – such top-lofty intellectuals, to whom we of the knuckle-dragging classes are supposed to genuflect and express our thanks for allowing us to breathe their rarified air.

And yet they are so bereft of anything remotely individual or original when it comes to expressing their thoughts. There are no more profound, esoteric musings to delve into, no utterances that make the listener richer for having heard them, no cerebral arguments to ponder over justifying their fevered insistence that the Bad Orange Man is to be disdained and rejected, and why he must be exorcised from the national consciousness at any cost.

It’s always the same, tired old hateful screed from every last one of them.

With a Hitler cherry on top, if they are to be taken super-duper seriously or printed in a rag that feeds their inner beasts, such as The Atlantic.

Dreary. How do you live your life with a scratch in the record so deep the needle can never, ever get over it to finish a song?

I have yet to see the Orange Man with a dog.

We could be on the edge of a breakthrough…

BUT NEWS JUST IN ABOUT THAT ECONOMY – AY DIOS MIO

It is cocktail time.

Have a great weekend anyway, y’all.
