The American People Overwhelmingly Support Making Government Efficient and Accountable

A new poll conducted by McLaughlin & Associates for Tea Party Patriots shows

overwhelming support for the work President Trump’s DOGE is doing to make government more efficient and affordable.

The survey asked the question, “Do you support or oppose a Department of Government Efficiency whose sole purpose is to audit the government for inefficiencies and to instruct Congress on adjusting the federal budget to reduce costs and eliminate redundancy, unnecessary programs, and unnecessary services?”

The survey found that DOGE’s existence is supported by 78.6% of Republicans, 64.0% of Democrats, and 68.0% of Independents, giving the department broad bipartisan support. Overall, 70.7% of Americans support DOGE and its proposed efforts.

These survey results highlight that Americans are united in their desire for a government that is transparent, accountable, efficient, and serves the people—not one that works against them. The poll results demonstrate that “We the People” agree that DOGE will help curb out-of-control spending and the metastasizing bureaucracy to instead prioritize government efforts on its constitutional responsibilities, thereby freeing the American people to pursue their American Dreams.

The survey also found that other marquee elements of the Trump MAGA agenda have overwhelming public support.

McLaughlin & Associates found 71% in favor of deporting individuals who have entered the United States illegally. In a startling result, the survey found that a majority of Harris voters (53%) were in favor of deporting those who entered the country illegally, as were a majority of those who voted for a Democrat for Congress (54%) as were a majority of self-identified Liberals, also at 54%.

Support fell off slightly among Harris voters, Democrats and self-described Liberals when specific proposals, such as “building a border wall,” “Remain in Mexico,” and ending “catch and release,” were added to the question, but overall support remained at an astonishing 67% for President Trump’s border security agenda.
