There I was, minding…well, sort of minding my own business this weekend.
What I was really doing at one point was enjoying another delightful round of uniquely Massachusetts governmental lefty loon breakdowns.
Now, normally, it’s the whacko kiddos from Michelle Wu’s Boston City Hall behaving badly. As I have so often chronicled, Mayor Wu’s woesome city staffers get snatched up for everything from two-bit who-bit-who lovers’ spats, rainbow flag rock ’em, sock ’em felony domestic assaults, DEI-directed department doers, and plain old questionable friends shaking down local businesses.
On top of Wu being Wu, it’s a lot to keep track of, but entertaining as all get out.
What caught my eye this weekend was the state’s risible governor and Wu’s chief enabler (besides the mah-roons who reelect her), Maura Healey. The same governor who mused ever so poetically during the Floyd riots that ‘America’s burning, but that’s how forests grow‘ and who, thanks to her total and complete climate cult devotion, has brought her state to a near energy collapse.
It seems as far as stellar employees, man – she’s no slouch in that department, too, as a kind of hilarious article Bingley had posted noted.
It seems one of Governor Healey’s enterprising staffers was arrested after having eight KILOS of cocaine delivered to the state office building.
You have to give him credit – the man’s LinkedIn page does say, he ‘effectively manages and coordinates.’ Almost no lie detected.
A staffer for Democratic Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey was hit with drug trafficking charges after authorities intercepted eight kilograms of cocaine being delivered to a state office building.
LaMar Cook, who has served as deputy director of Healey’s western Massachusetts office since 2023, was charged with trafficking over 200 grams of cocaine, unlawful possession of a firearm, and unlawful possession of ammunition related to the bust, Hampden District Attorney Anthony Gulluni announced Wednesday.
Multiple parcels containing about 21 kilograms of cocaine have been seized by Massachusetts State Police throughout the investigation into Cook.
Cook was arrested during a Tuesday traffic stop, three days after authorities conducted a “controlled delivery operation” of eight kilos of coke to the Springfield State Office Building, where the Healey staffer worked.
His arrest is also linked to parcels seized at the Hotel UMass in Amherst, where Cook was previously employed, containing about 13 kilos of the drug.
He was ‘effectively managing’ as he’d been having coke delivered all over the state while employed at his full-time gigs.
That’s efficient.
He’s since been fired and released on a mere $25K bail (Hey, it’s Massachusetts, no?) for what my miserable #mathz skill tote up to be at least 46.2 pounds of Tony Montana’s sugar high deliveries so far. Seemed like an awful lot of blow for such a low bail, but it turns out that the bail was only in relation to the gun charge.
…He is now facing charges of cocaine trafficking, as well as charges for carrying a gun and ammunition without a license and driving without a license.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges in Springfield District Court on Wednesday, when Judge William Rota ordered he be held at Hampden County Jai pending a dangerousness hearing scheduled for Friday.
The judge also set a $25,000 bond in connection with the gun charge.
Questions are being asked, but it’s again, Massachusetts.
Was he getting a free dozen of donuts with every purchase of an eight ball?

Who’s watching the delivery boys, and who’s signing for the blow?
This is LaMar Cook’s direct supervisor, Kristen Elechko.
Somehow Kristen (a Markey alum) didn’t notice that her direct report in their three-person office was trafficking in cocaine right out of his office.

Role models can sometimes be hard to come by.
MassLive named him a Juneteenth role model. You can’t make this shit up. pic.twitter.com/t0JnGScNaM

Although one should research a potential ‘role model’ throughly before awarding a small trophy and a glitzy write-up.
Sometimes, the pretty package ain’t all it’s cracked up to be. The same goes for governors hiring help they squeal over like this…
…Cook was appointed to serve under Healey in 2023, when the governor praised him and Kristen Elechko, the director of the Springfield office, as ‘two proven leaders with deep ties to Western Mass.
‘They know the communities, they know the businesses, they know the needs and opportunities of the region,’ Healey said at the time, according to the Boston Globe.
…who turn out to be people who were always really this unsavory to begin with.
…In 2001, he was one of several residents arrested in connection with a gunfire incident that occurred near the city’s Mason Square neighborhood, MassLive reports.
He reportedly was part of a group that rolled up in a car with handguns, shooting at another group of people standing on a front porch at around 1am.
Several rounds were fired, but only one man was hit.
Cook and two others were then charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, discharging a handgun within 500 feet of a dwelling and unlicensed possession of a firearm.
Gosh. What a surprise that dis guy might well turn out to be a drug trafficker taking advantage of those community opportunities the governor thought were so great.
So engrossed in that as I was, imagine when I saw a little-reported explosion on the sacred campus of Harvard appear in the same feed. At first, I thought someone had been clumsy with a test tube full of noxious substances – it was the medical school after all – but then they had these photographs of ‘suspects fleeing’ and were calling it a bombing right off.

Literally no one was talking about what looks to be two females trying to blow up a chunk of Harvard University this weekend.
A bomb went off at 3am at Harvard. Is anyone even talking about it? pic.twitter.com/zIPdE49N29

And the explosion wasn’t against the building – it was inside, up on the fourth floor. So whoever did this knew the building and had access to it.
Police call it ‘intentional’ – oh. Do tell.
An explosion took place in a building of the Harvard Medical School in Boston early on Saturday morning, the school’s police department said, in what the authorities described as an intentional act.
…The episode unfolded at 2:48 a.m. in the Goldenson building of the medical school, where an officer from the Harvard police department was dispatched after a fire alarm was activated, Steven G. Catalano, a spokesman for the university police, said in a statement.
An officer who arrived at the scene saw the individuals running from the building, Mr. Catalano said. The officer attempted to stop them before going into the building and going to the fourth floor, where the alarm was triggered, he said.
The arson unit of the Boston Fire Department determined that the explosion was “intentional,” he said. The Boston Police Department swept the building but did not find additional devices.
Anarchists running about, popping off explosives here and there, and it warrants barely a mention anymore, unless it’s style critiques by fellow radicals.

This is the progressive world we’re dealing with right now. Delightful people and a surreal state of affairs.
If you’ll remember, back in August, they tracked down some paint-happy Pally protestors who’d vandalized Boston Commons and the statehouse by the footprint trails left after they’d run through their own poo-filled paint splatters. Only halfway through the article were the IEDs scattered about the Commons mentioned almost as an afterthought.
…Note to self: Don’t leave footprints for cops to track you with. Wipe your damn feet.
Second note: Don’t drop your IEDs in the common areas. Someone might get hurt.
…A trooper observed “white paint footprints” believed to have been left by Sawaqed as he fled and two suspicious objects, which were believed to be homemade improvised explosive devices, according to a criminal complaint.
Now, this weekend, here are two apparently sweet young things scampering unimpeded about the halls of Harvard Medical School in the dead of night and making things purposefully go boom.
The Harvard Crimson is calling the delicate, twee looking-suspects ‘male,‘ and everyone in town is refusing to say ‘bomb.’ It was an ‘explosive device’ that caused an ‘explosion.’
Okay. I guess ‘device’ sounds better. Not so scary.
A device exploded inside the Goldenson Building in Harvard’s Longwood medical campus early Saturday morning, according to a message from the Harvard University Police Department to University affiliates.
…The explosion took place on an area of the fourth floor of Goldenson, a Harvard Medical School building on the school’s main quad. An officer who responded shortly before 3 a.m. observed two individuals fleeing the building, according to the email sent by HUPD spokesperson Steven G. Catalano this afternoon.
HUPD sent a subsequent email to Harvard affiliates shortly after 5 p.m. asking for assistance identifying two men, who they described as suspects. The images were captured on security footage.
Both men are shown wearing sweatshirts with hoods and ski masks.
The fact is somebody set them up the bomb.
And it’s sure looking like the whole state are belong to ‘them.’
Good luck, y’all.
