The National Park Service is looking for a 66-year-old woman who never returned to her tour group in Arizona’s Grand Canyon.
Martha Overholser was with the group on Dec. 10 at Mather Point on the Grand Canyon’s southern rim close to the visitor center, park officials said in a release Thursday.
Ms. Overholser, who hails from Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, never returned to the bus in which she was traveling following her day tour.
Park rangers believe she may have walked west toward the Bright Angel Lodge or toward Hermits Rest, one of the westernmost points along the canyon’s southern rim.
Ms. Overholser is a White woman standing 5 feet 2 inches and weighing about 110 pounds, with gray hair and blue eyes. She was wearing a long off-white coat and a gray hoodie and carrying a navy blue bag the last time she was seen.
