Musk threatens lawsuit against former lawmaker for calling him a Nazi

White House efficiency czar Elon Musk threatened to sue former Squad member Jamaal Bowman after the ex-congressman called him a Nazi.

Mr. Musk, who helms President Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency, was accused by liberals of performing a Nazi salute at an event celebrating the president’s inauguration in January, a slap that the X owner shrugged off while accusing critics of needing “better dirty tricks.”

But Mr. Bowman’s accusation appeared to push the world’s richest man over the edge.

“I’ve had enough. Lawsuit inbound,” Mr. Musk posted Friday on X in response to a clip of the New York Democrat.

The clip in particular featured a roundtable discussion on CNN, with Joe Borelli, the former top Republican on the New York City Council, arguing that the raucous nature of GOP town halls was orchestrated by Democratic protesters.

That prompted Mr. Bowman to interject, “That’s not true.”

He went on, “And this shows, again, the American people do not trust Elon Musk. And Elon Musk is incompetent in his position.

“And how do we know? Because they fired tens of thousands of people, it was challenged in court. The court said the people have to go back, and now the people are coming back. He’s incompetent, he’s a thief, he’s a Nazi, and people don’t trust him, period.”

Liberal groups like Indivisible have mobilized at town halls to protest Mr. Musk and DOGE.

The combative nature of recent events prompted House Republican leadership to urge lawmakers not to hold such events, though some have not heeded that advice during this week’s break from Washington.

Mr. Bowman, who served two terms in the House before losing a primary to George Latimer last year, is no stranger to political heat.

He faced legal trouble and was censured by the House for pulling a fire alarm during a pivotal vote to fund the government in 2023 while the chamber was in session.
