Hunter Biden, the ne’er-do-well son of former President Joe Biden, must have hit the crack pipe extra hard lately.
What does that say about anyone who might take the younger Biden’s deranged musings seriously?
In a recent interview on Joshua Rubin’s “Wide Awake Podcast,” posted last week to YouTube, Biden claimed that the Sept. 10 assassination of conservative Christian icon Charlie Kirk “only served” President Donald Trump’s Make America Great Again movement.
Of course, the repellent criminal with the “laptop from hell” got it wrong. Still, let us examine his theory to see if we can pull from it even a tiny kernel of truth.
The relevant exchange began with Rubin noting that he had never seen a prominent figure killed for his political views.
“Let’s just step back for a second there,” Biden replied. “Do you know that that’s the case?”
The ne’er-do-well then described Rubin’s characterization of the motives behind Kirk’s assassination as a mere right-wing “narrative.”
Conversely, Biden suggested that perhaps the assassin followed extremist podcaster Nick Fuentes, and thus wanted chaos for its own sake. No facts exist to support that alternate explanation, but that didn’t stop the longtime national embarrassment from proposing it.
In any event, Biden showed no interest in archaic concepts like “evidence.” After all, as every modern liberal knows, pedantic obstacles should not get in the way of smearing Trump and MAGA.
Is the Biden family corrupt?
“I don’t know why Charlie Kirk was shot,” Biden said. “But I do know this. It only served one group of people, Charlie Kirk’s death: MAGA.”
By what tortured reasoning did the ne’er-do-well nitwit arrive at that conclusion?
“They have taken this,” he continued, “they have wrapped themselves in it, they have righteous indignation, and they are able to say ‘it’s all — .’”
In classic Biden fashion — no one can doubt the former president’s paternity here — the convicted felon had his train of thought derailed, for he added a Biden-esque “by the way,” followed by a series of lies about right-wing political violence.
Readers may watch the full interview in the YouTube video below. No sane person, of course, could stand to listen to Biden for three minutes, let alone a three-plus-hour conversation. The relevant exchange, therefore, begins around the 1:15:54 mark.
So what should we make of Biden’s specific theory that Kirk’s assassination helped MAGA?
According to Biden, MAGA supporters have “wrapped themselves” in the assassination and shown “righteous indignation.”
In his feeble mind, therefore, Kirk’s own supporters must have killed him, so they could feel morally superior. Impossible as it is to believe for people with brains uncorrupted by hard drugs, that was Biden’s logic.
Those who inhabit reality, however, know that the ne’er-do-well told the opposite of the truth. In fact, events since Kirk’s assassination have shown what a crucial role he played in holding the MAGA coalition together. Disagreements over the Trump administration’s support for Israel, for instance, have turned toxic. And Kirk had a way of talking to conservatives on both sides of that issue without burning bridges.
Still, can we find a golden nugget of truth amid Biden’s steaming pile of conspiratorial garbage?
In one sense, yes, we can. Kirk’s assassination proved beneficial to MAGA in that it opened our eyes to the depth of leftists’ demonic hatred. From leftists’ celebrations of Kirk’s murder, we learned that they would kill us, too, if they could. That made many of us turn our hearts to Jesus more than ever.
Thus, kudos to Biden for using the most tortured logic imaginable and accidentally stumbling upon the right conclusion.
