Housing Illegals Means More to the Starmer Govt Than Native Brits – HotAir

There were anti-immigrant protests over the weekend in Britain, hard as it is to believe. They weren’t only full of angry twenty-somethings, either, which I hope caused Keir Starmer’s authoritarian blood to run cold.

It was families, middle-aged women, and men. Old folks and young kids.

The Britannia International Hotel in Canary Wharf is one of those examples pissing the average, taxpaying British citizen off enough to roust them from their home and tea. These first-class hotels have been closed to visitors and used as emergency overflow lodging to handle the thousands of ‘asylum seekers’ that Sir Keir Starmer can’t seem to stop – or doesn’t want to – from landing the never-ending stream of little boats from France full of them on English soil.

Much like Joe Biden’s midnight flights of illegals into small, rural American airports, Starmer is busing these foreign invaders to chi-chi hotels under the cover of darkness in the hopes that locals don’t notice. The British working stiff is paying the full freight.

But there are now people constantly watching and recording the Labour government’s clandestine midnight migrant shuffling operations.

It looked as if the residents of entire middle-class, working-class neighborhoods had simply dropped whatever they were doing and hit the street with British flags. Together, they all walked over to the local Labour-sponsored ‘migrant’ hotel to let the government know that they’ve about had enough.

They were menacing in both crowd size and attitude, and were willing to use any means to intimidate the foreign invaders housed and supported by the Labour Party at some of the finest hotels in the country.

The crowd must have had some memory of the tactics used by the 82d Airborne in Panama against Noriega’s compound, because they resorted to the same ruthless auditory tactics, bombarding the migrants with music.

God. That’s brutal.

And insanely cruel.

This conga line was so rowdy and PINKI’m shocked the illegal invaders weren’t leaping from windows.

Of course, it isn’t just the warbling from the crowd that the government wants stifled. It’s the angry voices raised that the homeless and veterans in the country get nothing from the government, while illegal boat people get four-star accommodations.

Gracious, no. Can’t have anyone pointing that out. Someone might think it’s wrong.

The chants of ‘SEND THEM BACK!‘ were unsettling enough. What if British veterans got mad, too?

Well, it turns out that they already are. Too late, Starmer.

And, yes, it’s ghastly and it’s true. One of Princess Diana’s military pallbearers froze to death in 2021, huddled in a doorway after a mix-up at a homeless shelter left the Iraq War veteran and PTSD sufferer without a place to stay one bitterly cold night.

…Images of Malcolm [Livingstone] and his colleagues, who patiently stood on parade on the Tarmac for four hours before solemnly bearing the casket on their shoulders, were beamed around the world.

…This attention to detail and pride in his appearance, a natural trait that was evident in his childhood, would eventually take him to Buckingham Palace, where he acted as the Queen’s personal footman for 11 years, rising to manage all the household staff as Deputy Sergeant Footman.

Yet it was a far cry from the dishevelled individual found frozen to death in a churchyard in King’s Lynn years later. He was aged just 44.

An inquest this month heard the brave serviceman had developed post-traumatic stress disorder and slipped into alcoholism after a tour of Iraq in 2003.

His lonely end came in November 2021 when a mix-up in local homeless services left him without a room on a near-freezing night.

It seems there’s never any money for the British, although the government has plenty for the unwelcome newcomers. That in itself breeds natural resentment, but between the crime, the draining of every resource, and this is the thanks they get?

There weren’t only flag-waving Brits at Canary Wharf and nosy folks checking out the chi-chi digs and government-provided bikes and baby strollers at Chelmsford. There were crowds gathered all over the country on Saturday.

Back at the Britannia International, I guess the government was alarmed at the lengths their citizens were willing to go to register their displeasure. Because no sooner had the ‘Sweet Caroline‘ chorus faded away than the Starmtroopers moved in to clear the boisterous crowd, and inform them they had been banned from the premises for the next 28 days for ‘distressing the residents.’

It does beg the question about the general unrest across the country.

How soon before Starmer attempts to disappear all of it – completely stop the flow of free information between citizens about what is happening within their own borders and city limits – with his new powers?

What does your regular Brit do then?

Keir Starmer and the Labour government are pushing the United Kingdom into a dark and dangerous place, a place where the social contract between the people and the politicians who are supposed to represent them is rapidly breaking down.

That’s the conclusion you’d reach were you to look at four things that happened over the weekend, all of which symbolise how volatile and febrile things are becoming.

First, though you won’t have heard much about it in legacy media, largely peaceful public protests against the country’s broken borders and Labour’s extreme policy of importing unvetted migrants into the heart of Britain’s communities have continued to spread across the country.

After starting in Epping, Essex, where an illegal migrant who arrived on the small boats “allegedly” sexually assaulted a 14-year-old schoolgirl, in recent days these protests spread to London, Manchester, Newcastle, Cannock, Portsmouth, Southampton, and Waterlooville, in Hampshire.

While those in power would like you to believe the protests reflect organised “far-right extremism”, and “misinformation” among an ignorant public, the reality of what is now unfolding is far more troubling for the elite class and the state.

On the whole, the protests have been organic and spontaneous, emerging among the people from the bottom-up, not orchestrated top-down by hardened extremists.

The options available are getting pretty slim.
