Everybody’s tabbing for the weekend …

Ed: For the first time ever, I feel compelled to inform readers that any entry in the Final Word does not amount to an endorsement by me, Hot Air, Townhall Media, and in this case, my ancestors going back to the Eritreans. Mamma mia!

Sasha Stone: Welcome to No Country for Old Media, where a story as big as Arctic Frost meets deafening silence inside the bubble, where once again, Axios stands alone. …
Is it worse than Watergate? I think so. But you have to look at the big picture, not just one story. The Democrats’ ten-year war to prevent Trump from representing those who voted for him and to deny half the country their right to representation remains one of the biggest scandals in American history.
We’ve never had an administration refuse to step aside because they didn’t like the winner and decide for the American people that their votes didn’t matter because one side had all of the power. It was never Trump who refused to leave. It was Barack Obama and the America he believed he had forever shaped.
Ed: Well put.

Ed: Looks like Donald Trump will get yet another presidential library! Or maybe this time, he’ll demand that a respondent in a defamation suit contribute funds to the new East Wing ballroom. Maybe they’ll call it the Sullivan Room, eh?
===
Daily Wire: Maine Democratic Senate candidate Graham Platner’s national finance director has now publicly called it quits, marking yet another major exit from the scandal-ridden primary campaign.
Ronald Holmes III announced on LinkedIn on Friday that he “resigned from that role effective immediately.”
“Somewhere along the way, I began to feel that my professional standards as a campaign professional no longer fully aligned with those of the campaign,” he wrote.
Ed: The wheels keep flying off for Platner, and keep up the embarrassment for Democrats. Janet Mills will end up with the nomination, but she and her state party will have to deal with the detritus of Platner’s campaign.

So, @MayorOfLA is putting up a wall around this park to keep out illegals. Just interesting. https://t.co/KtflnpynJx

Ed: Look who’s going MAGA! Well, Karen Bass has always been attracted to strong leaders. Y’know, like Fidel Castro, Mao, Che, et al. Maybe she’s just getting the sense that Angelenos can’t wait for her wretched dereliction of duty to end, and like George Gascón did, try to end her term with some common-sense actions to distract from her catastrophic radical track record.

Neil Pollack at The Spectator: As on the left, there’s a significant number of people on the political right who simply hate the Jews. This week, Tucker Carlson interviewed Nick Fuentes, who went on and on, as he does, about how “organized Jewry” is a threat. Tucker laughed and laughed in front of the roaring river that forms the backdrop to his online life.
In response, Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts, who as recently as this year called antisemitism “evil,” refused to condemn this conversation. “We won’t start cancelling our own people… that includes Tucker Carlson, who remains — and always will be — a close friend of the Heritage Foundation.” He also said, “Christians can critique the state of Israel without being antisemitic. And of course antisemitism should be condemned.”
It should be condemned, and it often is, usually by Jews who feel the walls closing in around them. My social media feed yesterday was full of World Series chatter, see-through Sydney Sweeney dress photos, and conservative Jews saying that they feel betrayed by their political compatriots. Yesterday was a day you’ll never forget, unless you weren’t paying attention. When the left hates you and the right hates you, all that remains is vigilance. American Jews should get their passports ready. And maybe sign up for some Krav Maga.
Ed: We have said this before, but we’ll say it again: all of this anti-Semitism only underscores the necessity of Israel as a Jewish state. The walls may be closing in on the Jews, but the darkness is closing in on the light of Western civilization. We need to keep its flame lit.

Kevin, is it not also abhorrent that Tucker accused Christian Zionists of “heresy”?
Zionism is merely the belief that Israel, a nation-state for the Jewish people in part of the ancient Jewish homeland, has a right to exist.

Anti-Zionism, by contrast — and Tucker is clearly an anti-Zionist — is the assertion that Israel has no right to exist and should not exist.
Hamas demonstrated on Oct. 7 how it intends to disestablish Israel: through mass murder of men, women and children; the extermination of Israelis — including Israeli Jews, Christians, Druze, Muslims and others.
Is favoring such a genocide consistent with Christian belief?
Ed: David wrote about this earlier today, but it’s worth capturing more of this debate here, too. I’ll point out that there is only one people who live in the same place and worship the same deity they did 5,000 years ago, and that is the Jews. Anti-Zionism is literally cheering colonialism, which is what makes it so absurd among those who claim to be anti-colonialists.

Free Beacon: Lieutenant governor Garlin Gilchrist, running for Michigan governor, Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed, and Dearborn mayor Abdullah Hammoud headlined the event, hosted by the Arab American Political Action Committee (AAPAC) in Dearborn on Wednesday.
The PAC is led by Osama Siblani, a prominent Arab-American community leader who owns the Arab American News. Siblani cofounded the AAPAC in 1998 with a mission to elect Arab-American candidates and “lobby on behalf of the Arab American political causes which are of concern to the majority of the community as approved by the members of the organization.”
In recent years, those causes included the demonization of Israel and support for terrorist organizations like Hamas and Hezbollah. Siblani has praised the terrorist groups as “freedom fighters.” At a rally last September alongside Hammoud, Siblani called late Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah a “hero.” Siblani, whose speech was interrupted by chants of “death to Israel,” called for Israeli Jews to be sent “back to Poland.”
Ed: Both sides have a problem with anti-Semitism. It’s on the fringes of the Right. It’s on the mainstream of the Left.

JUST IN: Anonymous 3-judge 7th Circuit panel permanently blocks Judge Sara Ellis’ order, in anti-ICE protest litigation, that required Border Patrol commander Greg Bovino to provide daily, in-person report to court. Doc: https://t.co/j1od1cnp3S pic.twitter.com/eE1VweF50e

Ed: Interesting ruling, given that the Seventh Circuit has actually been more activist on ICE and Nat’l Guard activities. It’s entirely correct, of course, because this was yet another district court judge playing President For A Day.

NBC News: The man who supplied guns and blank ammo to makers of the ill-fated Western film “Rust” filed a lawsuit in New Mexico against Alec Baldwin, producers and other movie employees, claiming they’ve scapegoated him for the deadly on-set shooting four years ago.
Seth Kenney, owner of PDQ Arm & Prop, said Baldwin and other defendants have wrongly cast him as the man responsible for the accidental death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and the wounding of director Joel Souza on Oct. 21, 2021.
“Defendants, individually and collectively, in an effort to distance themselves from the ‘Rust’ criminal investigation and onslaught of negative publicity, conspired to paint Plaintiffs in a nation-wide false light scapegoat smear campaign,” according to Kenney’s complaint filed last week in Santa Fe.
Ed: Hmmm. Maybe there will be a measure of justice after all for this homicide. Or at least a measure of karma.

Democrats claim brown Americans are “living in fear” because of ICE, and because the American people voted for mass deportations. But they only get away with it until someone with courage confronts the lie.
Good for Chamath.
No more sob stories. Illegals have to go. https://t.co/wTF9Z95eXx

Ed: Yikes! Looks like Buttigieg just experienced a progressive-bubble pop. Notice too that when Chamath expresses his ‘lived experience’ feeling of greater safety, Buttigieg refuses to respect it, and instead starts tossing out unsupported anecdotal claims to shame Chamath. Maybe Buttigieg should listen more and lecture less.

NY Post: Wild video showed a drunk Arizona judge with her pants down, peeing in public — with her town-official husband then wrestled to the ground while trying to prevent cops from questioning her, according to officials.
Yavapai County Superior Court Judge Pro Tempore Kristyne Schaaf-Olson, 42, was seen scrambling to get out of shrubbery as cops arrived around 1:30 a.m. on Oct. 4 in Prescott, according to the video obtained by Fox 10.
Officers were called by several witnesses who saw the judge urinating in public, the police report said.
Ed: Soon to be featured as the Crown Of Glory competition in Vodkapundit’s Florida Man Friday features. Although today’s was hard to top.

Besides being a tough and accomplished journalist, @KatiePavlich is a great friend and colleague. I know we’ll stay in touch, but I will miss being in regular calls with someone this gifted and this supportive. I wish her all the best and will cheer every win she gets. https://t.co/VCMg27O9xo

Ed: My final word tonight: Katie is the best at what she does, and one of the most loyal friends and colleagues one could want. Katie, we all wish you the very best, and we look forward to seeing all you will accomplish.
