Florida man arrested for threatening Donald Trump on social media

A Florida man was arrested Monday after vowing to physically harm President Trump.

Kendall Aaron Todd, 42, is being held in the St. Lucie County Jail on a $500,000 bond. He has been charged with making written threats to kill or do bodily harm, the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook.

In addition to calling the president the Antichrist and claiming that “Donald Trump has personally made business decisions which have hurt so many different reincarnated Jesuses,” according to WPBF, Mr. Todd issued a challenge to the president on social media.

“Fight me naked to the death! I’m going to cut you up with a chainsaw and put you in acid,” Mr. Todd said in an 80-second video.

Sheriff’s deputies and the U.S. Secret Service executed the warrant against Mr. Todd at a home in Fort Pierce.

This wasn’t the first confrontation with him. On March 7, when deputies tried to take him to a mental health facility, he yelled at them and acted aggressively, according to TCPalm.com.

Four days later, Mr. Todd was put under a risk protection order, which let the sheriff’s office take his guns.

The sheriff’s office had petitioned a judge for the order because Mr. Todd “may be seriously mentally ill or may have recurring mental health issues,” reported TCPalm.com.
