If nothing else, the Department of Justice clearly wants to send a message to wanna-be domestic terrorists. Or does it have evidence of organized behavior and funding behind the firebombing attacks on Tesla dealers and owners?
Pam Bondi and Kash Patel plan to put some significant resources into action, either way:
The FBI has created a task force intended to “crack down on violent Tesla attacks,” it announced Monday, following a spate of incidents appearing to target Elon Musk’s electric car manufacturer. …
Over the weekend, the FBI urged the public to look out for signs of a possible attack on Tesla dealerships or Tesla-related entities, including individuals surveilling or trying to break into Tesla properties or making threats against the company online.
The new task force will work in conjunction with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to investigate anti-Tesla attacks, FBI Assistant Director for Public Affairs Ben Williamson said in a post on X.
The DoJ has already made arrests in three separate attacks that took place before this week. Bondi has pledged to prosecute these defendants to the full extent of the law. Since then, more attacks have taken place, including a firebombing attempt thwarted by local police in Austin, Texas yesterday.
Unfortunately, a firebombing a week earlier in Kansas City didn’t get stopped in time, where a Tesla dealer lost two Cybertrucks. Local news station KSHB reports today that the new task force are continuing the investigation that began when the fire was deemed suspicious. The law-enforcement agencies are remaining tight-lipped about their findings thus far:
Agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, and the FBI have been working with the Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department’s Bomb and Arson unit to investigate after two Cybertrucks were found on fire late Monday night, March 17, at the dealership located at W. 101st Street and State Line Road.
A joint statement from the ATF and FBI described the fire as “suspicious in nature.”
A spokesperson at the FBI’s Kansas City field office said Tuesday there was no additional information to release or additional comment on the investigation.
Despite the ongoing series of violent attacks on Tesla dealers, not too many media outlets are reporting on the developments that have taken place. CNN reported on the formation of the task force, but not too many other national outlets have followed suit as of noonish ET. Nor have too many Democrats gone public to condemn political violence, which strikes Fox’s Deirdre Heavey as puzzling — given their obsession with January 6 over the past four years:
President Donald Trump said Tesla vandals and their financiers should face up to 20 years in prison. Fox News Digital asked 13 Democrats who sponsored legislation to combat domestic terrorism if they agreed the government should target the people vandalizing Tesla. None of the lawmakers responded.
Amid the ongoing attacks on Tesla showrooms, charging stations and vehicles, the FBI on Monday launched a task force to crack down on the violent attacks. Attorney General Pam Bondi last week labeled the attacks “domestic terrorism” and the Justice Department announced charges against three suspects in Tesla arson cases.
As the Trump administration investigates the Tesla attacks, Democrats have been noticeably silent on an issue they have railed against for years. Last week, Fox News Digital asked the same 13 Democratic lawmakers if they agreed with Bondi’s “domestic terrorism” distinction. Once again, none of the lawmakers responded.
Heavey does give credit where due; Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) issued a statement unprompted condemning the attacks, and Bernie Sanders condemned them when asked. Others who have been vocal about “political terrorism” in the past have gone radio silent on the Tesla attacks, including Adam Schiff, Dick Durbin, Maxine Waters, and others.
So too have the media — for the most part. The same outlets that covered every jot and tittle that took place in the January 6 investigations suddenly can’t be bothered to offer more than token coverage of a multi-agency task force as Teslas explode across the country. Don’t think for a moment that this is just an oversight or a coincidence, either. It’s yet another example of narrative exclusion by the Protection Racket Media in their ongoing defense of the Left.
The best way to keep the pressure on the Protection Racket Media is to keep supporting independent voices and platforms! We can draw attention to their corruption, as well as the wave of political violence coming from the Left, and force them to cover it.
