What does it say that a professor at Georgetown University–an Episcopalian, no less–is calling for Iran to strike US bases in the Middle East?
Nothing good. And he is not alone. Other professors at American universities have expressed similar or worse sentiments.
At first, it would seem an odd flex until you understand that it is part of the “decolonization” effort that we hear so much about. After all, the very same people who argue that America is evil and must be destroyed are deeply invested in open borders and unlimited immigration into the United States. If the US is so racist and cruel, why would every Mahmoud, Mohammed, and Jose want to come here as “refugees” from countries they purport to love so deeply?

It’s no conundrum at all, though, once you wrap your head around the fact that a significant chunk of the Western Left is not dedicated to compassion and peace, but destruction and replacement. This is an anti-Western movement. It’s not about justice or compassion, but death and destruction.

Protesters who just the other day were flying transgender Pride flags, Palestinian flags, and Mexican flags are now hoisting the banner for Iran and calling for Iranian attacks on United States soldiers.
It is all the same movement.

Open borders allowed Iranian terrorists to infiltrate the United States, and now Iran is warning that it is considering activating their terror cells in the United States. This doesn’t appall leftists or make them reconsider their support for what they call the “Global South;” it excites them as they fervently desire that the West be stripped of all its wealth and power and its citizens murdered here and abroad.

Just as “defund the police” was explained to liberals as a metaphor, leftists are telling their useful idiot allies that it is all a metaphor. But when the opportunity arises to strike a blow against America and Europe, everybody gets on board with violent outbursts against the bourgeois enemy.

It may strike you as odd that Americans are lusting after Iran getting a nuclear weapon and Iranian terrorists taking aim at their fellow citizens, but it’s not at all. The “anti-war” crowd on the left is anything but. Their stance is entirely situational–a war upon the West is good, a war in which the West might come out on top is bad.

Our tax dollars are paying for this madness. Those students in the streets are the beneficiaries of government subsidies, billions of dollars flow to the universities that hire the anti-American academics, and NGOs fund the protests.

I sincerely believe that liberals don’t understand this, which is why they continue to support it. It’s bizarre. They see the destruction around them, carefully step around the poop and needles in the streets, shake their head at the homeless drug addicts, watch their businesses flee the cities, and then proceed to elect the next round of radicals in the hope that they can appease the radicals.
New York is on track to nominate yet another radical mayor. He is young, good-looking, passionate, of their class (he is quite privileged), and has the most insane policy views you can imagine.
Liberals are dangerous not because they are bad people; they are dangerous because they so desperately want to be good people that they fall all over themselves to embrace anybody who claims victimhood.
