After writing about Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner and that horrible murder that never should have happened, but did, thanks to the Soros-backed progressive DA’s indulgence of criminals, it’s kind of nice to finish the week on a Philly story with a much better ending.
Early this morning, in the Kensington section of Philly, a gang that had been ruling the streets with impunity for over a decade met their match in Kash Patel’s FBI.
The FBI and Philadelphia’s top federal prosecutor announced Friday the takedown of the Weymouth Street Drug Trafficking Organization that they say peddled in “poison” for over a decade in Kensington.
U.S. Attorney David Metcalf and the FBI said 33 people were indicted Friday in connection with the drug-trafficking organization.
Metcalf said 29 people were arrested Friday in Philadelphia, Delaware, New Jersey and Puerto Rico, with the vast majority happening in Kensington. Investigators are still searching for three people.
Law enforcement agents recovered dozens of guns off the streets, including assault rifles, and seized “substantial volumes” of fentanyl and narcotics at locations associated with the suspects, Metcalf said.
“This case takes place at the crossroads and violence,” Metcalf said, “and we are all here with a loud and unmistakable message that we are reclaiming these neighborhoods for the people who live and work here. We are taking back what the defendants are alleged to have stolen from the community, which is peace, prosperity, law and order.”

This group was infamous.
…Metcalf said the Weymouth Street Gang sold and distributed fentanyl, crack cocaine, cocaine and heroin mostly in the 3100 block of Weymouth Street for about a decade.
“They made their living in one of the most notorious and prolific segments of an open-air drug market here in Kensington,” Metcalf said. “They ran it like a business, but they also ran it, as the director alluded to, by violence, by fear and by threats. They enforced their territory through the threats of assaults, shootings and murder. They threatened anyone who talked to or cooperated with law enforcement. They were armed.”
And the video’s pretty dramatic.
Information so far is that the gang was run by a Hispanic immigrant from Puerto Rico, and the hours-long raids snatched up 29 people.
…Investigators allege that Jose Antonio Morales Nieves, 45, is the ringleader of the Weymouth Street Drug Trafficking Organization.
Investigators say Morales Nieves, a Puerto Rican native, allegedly authorized members to sell drugs on his block in exchange for a “rent.”
It’s believed that Morales Nieve would protect group members against rivals through violent acts carried out by either himself or his associates.
Ramon Roman-Montanez, 40, was also named by law enforcement as a high-ranking member of Weymouth DTO, in charge of street-level operations.
He allegedly oversaw organizing the drug shift schedule, including establishing roles and shifts for dealers, and was responsible for obtaining more drugs.
Nancy Rios-Valentin, also an accused leader of Weymouth DTO, is also accused of holding a similar role.
I mean, well done!
And the upside is this was a federal operation, so every last one of the scumbags who were hauled away is in federal custody, going in front of a federal judge for bail, and under the watchful eye of a federal prosecutor. Not Larry ‘Let ‘Em’Loose’ Krasner.
That’s the way it’s done.
But you know what I thought was the coolest thing of all and what initially caught my eye?
This little snippet of video.
The Philadelphia Police Commissioner, thanking Kash and his guys for their help, and his handsome words at the press conference.
Democrat-appointed Philadelphia Police Commissioner applauds FBI Director Kash Patel and bureau agents for facilitating massive gang takedown:

‘…This is the work. We are having significant success across the city this year. It’s not just about the police department but about those relationships we’ve had for some time., And we continue to use those relationships to move forward. We just, not too long ago, found Kada Scott and it was the FBI we turned to for help in that investigation…They are constantly behind the scenes, working together and I so appreciate that…’
I mean, wow. After the invective and spew from the Pritzkers, Johnsons, Basses, etc. of the Democratic world, how lovely is that?
How adult.
How consummately mature and utterly civilized to acknowledge, welcome, and laud your fellows in federal law enforcement for jobs well done together.
My gosh.
Moar please.
