Well, not quite. I used that headline for the sake of amusement, but Walz clearly does have a problem with how people perceive his masculinity, and he sure does seem to have an unnatural obsession with alphabet ideology, hanging around with young gay men, and a lot of less-than-masculine traits.
During the campaign, he pranced and danced, used his “jazz hands,” kicked in excitement like he were a Rockette, and was, generally speaking, quite weird.
Weird enough that after Harris put him out front for much of the campaign, she decided to put him in Witness Protection toward the end. He was as appealing as Herpes to most men.
Walz certainly has been stung by the rumors that he is gay, that he is not quite masculine, and that he is super weird and unlikeable. He still believes he can be the savior of his party and perhaps become president one day, not realizing that Tim Kaine has more charisma and memorability than he.
So is it a surprise that he attributes the rumors about his sexuality to… misogyny? I am not quite clear what he means by that, except perhaps an admission that he sees himself as a woman–he DOES assert that trans women are women after all.

Nah. He was just, as he says, a “knucklehead.” although it is true that his definition of “knucklehead” is lying and then getting caught. You know, like asserting that he fought in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Most of the time his defense of his masculinity veers off in the Biden direction–talking about physical confrontations with his adversaries. Biden liked to talk about taking Trump or others behind the barn and beating them up, but Walz prefers the WWE-style fight metaphor.
It amounts to the same thing, except that Biden really was entirely heterosexual and proud of it. Perhaps a pedophile who fantasizing about incest, but definitely heterosexual.
Does it matter that Walz might be gay? Not really, except in the sense that it unhinges him to have his masculinity questioned.
Nobody thinks Peter Thiel is anything less than a man because he is attracted to other males. Or, for that matter, Pete Buttigieg. I have disdain for Buttigieg, but not because of his sexual preferences. He seems a relatively intelligent and entirely ineffective, and ideologically liberal mainstream on most issues. He should be kept out of power for those reasons, but his sexuality is a matter of indifference to me and most others.
Walz, though, seems pathologically driven. He “coaches” football, but apparently not as one would expect. He organizes a gay-straight alliance at his school but talks about beating people up.

Someone with this kind of hangup is a bit unhinged by self-consciousness, and his choice of mate also calls into question his judgment. If you think Walz is weird, Gwen is ten times as much.
Imagine a scenario where Gwen Walz became the First Lady. The Minnesota media hid her for years and it turns out she’s even crazier than Tampon Tim. America dodged a bullet. pic.twitter.com/QyUEWkClhv

Fortunately (not for Republicans), Walz will soon return to obscurity regardless of what he wants. He is already mostly emasculated here in Minnesota. He was considering running for Senate, but his weirdo Lieutenant Governor chased him out of the race before he decided.

Walz will be an even smaller footnote than Tim Kaine and even less well-regarded.
