Tesla is rounding out the year with another recall notice affecting 700,000 Cybertrucks.
According to a Monday recall notice from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, some Tesla vehicles don’t have enough system memory to alert drivers of low tire pressure. While the Cybertruck may detect a tire pressure issue, the memory issue prevents the electric vehicle from alerting the driver the next time starting it.
Besides the Cybertruck, the recall also affects Tesla Model 3 and Y vehicles manufactured between 2017 and 2025.
The company became aware of the issue in November and has already issued an over-the-air software update that’s expected to resolve the issue for most.
The Cyertruck has been steeped in recalls since it launched in late 2023. Tuesday’s notice is the seventh for the vehicle, which has been cited for faulty windshield wipers, accelerator pedals, hood, warning lights and steer-by-wire system.
